Hej.
mvh.

Hi Tina,
It really depends on what you want to do with your certificate. Just improve your skiing or work in the Alps or Scandinavia a couple of seasons.
I am for example an alpine ski instructor with the Norwegian ski school. The course takes about 8 days, and you are allowed to teach to the level you get evaluated on.
It follows a really good hands on approach. The problem is you might not be allowed to teach in the Alps. The ski instructor industry is heavily regulated down there, you'd need the full ski teacher certificate plus Eurotest ( a slalom test based on speed).
If you just want to teach in Scandinavia, then it's fine. Also OK in Australia. Not 100% sure about the states and Canada, but probaly OK too.
Another option is the Austrian ski school who hold level 1 certification usually at the begiiner and end of winter.
I have some Australian friends who took it without speaking German. It will allow you to work with kids. Can be fun , can be a pain!
Last year I worked as a guide for Danski in France. They offer a children ski instructor course, where you work with a french instructor. At the end of the season you have the option of taking more courses. A friend of mine went to Canada with it.
Good luck!
